Hello everyone out there , as always it’s good to see you , I’m back with another one. For the seventh installment of my spring / summer series , I’m speaking on and showing you how to wear a brand from days gone by. It’s one of those brands that when it hit in the 90’s it was at the top of the sportswear / streetwear / active wear fashionable food chain. And it’s back now stronger than ever , and if you are familiar with this vlog / blog and the type of style that resonates with me , then you know I love to see the return of a brand from yesteryear that has the ability to still come off strong to a generation that is not familiar with it. The brand that I’m speaking of today , incase you have not figured it out yet , is SERGIO TACCHINI. When this brand hit in the early 90’s it was virtually unmatched when it came to style and quality and had a price tag to match , at least it seemed really expensive back then anyway. The only brand that could rival it back then was FILA, which has also made a fairly succesful return , both brands had the same aesthetic and I was a major fan of both. But you best believe on their return I was at the front of the retail line to get my hands on a piece of their clothing especially the velour sweatsuits. Basically though brands like this are what I consider to be generationally fashionable , meaning that the look of these brands means more to the generation that saw them when they first hit years ago as oppose the generation that knows very little about them and does not coordinate fashion the same way. I call the looks from the brands , The MONEY MAKIN MITCH LOOK. For those that are not familiar , that’s a reference to the movie PAID IN FULL , so if  YKYK. But if you don’t know , then go take a look at the movie and then get back to me , you will definitely know exactly what I’m talking about. The greatest thing about the return of these brands is they didn’t try to reinvent what made them ICONIC in the first place , they came back with the same style and look , maybe just a slightly more modern cut. Either way you look at it , I’m just glad to see the return of this brand. Now let me show you why you should be glad also.

NEW & FASHIONABLY NOTEWORTHY COLLABORATIONS: DAP x GAP:

Hello everyone out there , as always it’s good to see you , I’m back with another one. As the seasons change from winter to spring , there are a whole new crop of collaborations and drops that are set to hit the market , and that’s what we are going to talk about today. One of the latest collaborations to hit the fashion market just in time for the spring season , and if you are at all familiar with this vlog/blog , then you know there is nothing that I like better than a good fashionable collabo. The question is who or what is the latest fashionable collaboration that I am speaking of that is new and fashionably noteworthy? Well all questions deserve answers , so here it is…The who is none other than Harlems own originator of luxury logo heavy street fashion Dapper Dan , and the what is GAP. Over the last few years or so almost no one has pulled off more successful fashionable collabo’s than the one and only Dapper Dan , I mean for those out there that don’t know , since his reemergence to the mainstream scene he’s collaborated with the likes of GUCCI , PUMA , even PEPSI to name a few. But if you are not familiar and you call yourself a student of fashion then you need to do your googles and get caught up . However getting back on point , he’s back with his what I believe to be his third drop with GAP for his latest DAP for GAP collection. You Know what they say , the third times the charm , in this case that statement would be true because with each GAP drop the collection has gotten more extensive. Of course that would be the result when each collection either sold out or just did impressive numbers , and thats always the key to return business , is be successful or successful enough , but thats another subject for another time. To get back on point again this latest drop has expanded from not just hoodies but now the collection includes denim jackets , jeans , khakis , and even denim Japanese inspired Kimono jackets. Also important to know this new collection is moderately priced and reasonably affordable with the items ranging from 49.95$ to upwards of 158.00$ , making it very easy to own a piece of the new DAP for GAP collection. Now I have been doing all this talking about the collection but still have not shown it to you , so let’s have a look , and I will be right back.

MORE FASHION & STYLE TRENDS 2024.

Hello everyone out there , as always it’s good to see you , I’m back with another one. Last week I decided to start a new vlog/blog segment: STYLE TRENDS 2024 , and I say that it was new because I usually don’t jump directly into trends. But I liked how that went from a YouTube perspective , so I decided to come back this week, continue with the same segment and rename it MORE FASHION & STYLE TRENDS 2024. As I was saying before fashion and style trends are completely subjective in my fashionable opinion , but they are always fun to take a look at and speak on. With that said , lets get into it , today I wanted to jump into the all new MONCLER x ROC NATION collabo , and as I often say , you know there is nothing that I like better than a good fashionable collabo. But this latest fashionable collaboration is another one in my fashionable opinion that you never saw coming , and that you didn’t know that you needed to see. But those are usually the best collaborations. Now in the case of The all new MONCLER x ROC NATION collabo , when I first saw it , I automatically thought that it was worth taking a look at and speaking on from a style perspective , but fair warning this is once again another one of those limited capsule collections that does not fall under the affordable category. In fact it’s the complete opposite and highly unaffordable , however that is really subjective also , But you probably know like I know , the more expensive something is , the more people want a piece of it and that’s what makes most luxury brands work because it drives the demand up even if most can’t really afford it , they will try to find a way to obtain at least a small piece of it for novelty or collectors purposes. All in all I know what I think of it , the real question is what do you the consumer think of it? As always I LET YOU TELL IT , feel free to sound off in the comments though to let me know what you think. From there I want to once again travel back in time a little and speak on a fashion trend from the 90’s and early 2000’s that is seriously on the come back ,after all you can’t talk about style trends without revisiting the past for trends that are on the way back. The returning trend that I’m speaking of this week is the return of the motorcycle leather racing jacket , this trend was really popular in the 90’s from a music video perspective , but wasn’t a look that you saw on everybody. That was probably because of the price point of the jackets at the time and not everyone knew where to find the jackets , none the less it was one of my favorite past trends and looks and I’m completely here for the return of it , because the jackets create such an individual and stylish look. STYLE TRENDS 2024.

Hello everyone out there , as always it’s good to see you , I’m back with another one. Welcome to my second vlog/blog post of 2024 , and the subject matter for today is trends, trends in fashion to be exact. Now I personally believe that fashion trends are absolutely subjective , but that dosen’t mean that they are not fun to take a look at and have a conversation about. the ,most important thing to remember about fashion trends is that not every trend is necessarily for you and your don’t have to go along with every trend just because the runways and influencers told you to. Also important to keep in mind is sometimes you have to create your own trends and your own styles and individual looks , and if you pull that off correctly then that makes you a trend setter and not always a follower of trends. However today I’m going to speak on and show you three different categories of trends , starting with a brand that has been really big on the underground streetwear side of fashion and that is Tremaine Emory’s DENIM TEARS brand. Now I am a little late with this one as this brand burst on the scene a few years ago , but has gained more commercialized mainstream notoriety within the last year or so , the problem with a brand like this that has such a good underground run and success , by the time it reaches the eyes of the mainstream masses is, it’s no longer as popular amongst the underground following that got it to be as popular as it was in the first place , but in some cases that’s ok especially from a financial standpoint. From there I wanted to flash you back to the 90’s and early 2000’s for recurring trends , the recurring trend is often one of my favorite types of trends to really pay attention to , cause it brings back styles and looks from days gone past , that never really went anywhere. It also puts those looks in the eyes of a generation that has never seen them , in this case I’m speaking of the ever popular AVIREX leather jacket and the CLARKS WALLABEE ankle boot shoe. Both of these items are considered to be streetwear classics , the most amazing thing to me is that both items are still the same price that they were at the height of their popularity when they were first introduced to the masses. The AVIREX leather jacket , still retails for $1,298.00 and the CLARKS WALLABEE still comes in at a price point of $170.00. Showing that there is still a want for these items be it from the original fan base or the new generation that are just seeing these looks. From there lets jump into the return of one of my favorite items to make a come back and that is the return of the classic FILA and SERGIO TACCHINI velour tracksuit both of these items were major must haves in the 90’s and now they are back and they look just as good now as they did those many years ago , signifying the timelessness of both of these brands that both still command a retail price point between $166.00 to $290.00. Then from there lets return to 2024 for what’s trending on the runways , and unless you have been living under a fashionable rock , then you know that PHARRELL has taken over as creative director of LOUIS VUITTON menswear. Just about a little over or under a week or two ago he premiered his latest collection at Paris Fashion Week , but his first collection as creative director just recently hit online and at retail , now there are some really good novelty pieces in this collection by that I mean items that are very individual and you won’t everyone on the street wearing them. In fact looking at the price point of this latest collection , the most you might see these pieces is on stage or the runways or some celebrity that really didn’t pay for it or didn’t pay full price for it. But I still will say that I overall like the look of a lot of these pieces that premiered in the collection and went to retail. Basically these new looks from PHARRELL and LV are not for the fashionably faint of heart , the price points for this new collection range from $485.00 to upwards of $12,400.00. Most definitely not to be considered affordable , but I am looking forward to seeing what else PHARRELL has in store for the LV brand.

NEW & FASHIONABLY NOTEWORTHY COLLABORATIONS: MCM x BAPE & FENTY x PUMA.

Hello everyone out there as always , it’s good to see you , I’m back with another one. Welcome to the first vlog/blog of 2024 and today we are going to pick back up talking about those fashionable collabs. In 2023 I spoke on some pretty interesting ones from TIFFANY & CO. x NIKE all the way up to ADIDAS x MONCLER. The fashionable collabo has played a really big part in fashion over the past few years and 2024 will be no different , as I’m sure that in addition to what I am going to speak on today , I’m pretty sure that there will be plenty more to come after all 2024 is just getting started. However today There is two good ones that I’m going to take a look at and show you how to style , two brands that are both no stranger to the fashionable collabo. First up MCM x BAPE then RIHANNA’S FENTY brand is back with another collaboration with PUMA or FENTY x PUMA. Both of these collaborative efforts right now are limited edition capsule collections, MCM x BAPE consists of two hoodies in different color ways and a small collection of bags then FENTY x PUMA is back with a line of sneakers , The PUMA CREEPER PHATTY done in three different color ways. Of course as I’m sure you may well know the MCM x BAPE collection is more on the expensive side with prices ranging from 590.00$ up to 1,290.00$ , as opposed to FENTY x PUMA with the collection of sneakers coming at a price point of 140.00$. With that said let’s have a look.
