Hello everyone out there , as always it’s good to see you , I’m back with another one. For the seventh installment of my spring / summer series , I’m speaking on and showing you how to wear a brand from days gone by. It’s one of those brands that when it hit in the 90’s it was at the top of the sportswear / streetwear / active wear fashionable food chain. And it’s back now stronger than ever , and if you are familiar with this vlog / blog and the type of style that resonates with me , then you know I love to see the return of a brand from yesteryear that has the ability to still come off strong to a generation that is not familiar with it. The brand that I’m speaking of today , incase you have not figured it out yet , is SERGIO TACCHINI. When this brand hit in the early 90’s it was virtually unmatched when it came to style and quality and had a price tag to match , at least it seemed really expensive back then anyway. The only brand that could rival it back then was FILA, which has also made a fairly succesful return , both brands had the same aesthetic and I was a major fan of both. But you best believe on their return I was at the front of the retail line to get my hands on a piece of their clothing especially the velour sweatsuits. Basically though brands like this are what I consider to be generationally fashionable , meaning that the look of these brands means more to the generation that saw them when they first hit years ago as oppose the generation that knows very little about them and does not coordinate fashion the same way. I call the looks from the brands , The MONEY MAKIN MITCH LOOK. For those that are not familiar , that’s a reference to the movie PAID IN FULL , so if YKYK. But if you don’t know , then go take a look at the movie and then get back to me , you will definitely know exactly what I’m talking about. The greatest thing about the return of these brands is they didn’t try to reinvent what made them ICONIC in the first place , they came back with the same style and look , maybe just a slightly more modern cut. Either way you look at it , I’m just glad to see the return of this brand. Now let me show you why you should be glad also.
