The Fashion Follow up : Drip 2 : ADIDAS x IVY PARK: Pt 2.

Hello everyone out there , as always it’s good to see you. I AM JMADDD STYLES , and I would like to take this time out to welcome you to my latest blog post. The Fashion Follow Up: Drip 2 : ADIDAS x IVY PARK: Pt 2 . This is the follow up to my previous blog post, where I gave you a Sneak Peek of the fourth coming new season of ADIDAS x IVY PARK. Well I’m back this time to give you a more detailed look at the new collection, as it hit online yesterday on 10/29/20 and in stores today 10/30/20. So what I have done is taken what I think are the more standout pieces from the collection and styled new womenswear and menswear looks to give you a little style inspiration on how to put the new pieces together. That is if you were fortunate enough to snag something before it sold out within minutes online yesterday and I’m almost certain the same thing happened in retail today. With that said , let’s now take a look at the all new season of ADIDAS x IVY PARK.

All looks are styled and arranged by JMADDD STYLES.

Now that you have had a look at the new collection, what do you think ? This is usually where I would generally tell you…I LET YOU TELL IT , but this time I’m going to give you my fashionable opinion. Looking at the color ways, and some of the new pieces added to the collection for this new season, I have to say that I think it looks better than the original first season or Drop/Drip 1. In my professional opinion if Beyoncé continues on this current path that she is on with her IVY PARK collection , it will continue to expand and only get better as long as she doesn’t try to deviate to far from what made the collection successful in the first place. Which is the formula that most successful clothing companies have followed to maintain both longevity and a loyal fan base. So hats off to Beyoncé and her collaboration with Adidas. Also the price point for the line is fairly reasonable ranging from 25$ upwards to 200$.

Well there it is , we have just come to the end of yet another blog post, as always , I hope you have enjoyed reading it , just as much as I enjoyed presenting it. If this is your first time tuning into this blog then I hope to see you back here soon in the near future. All of the looks that you have seen in the video can be shopped at http://www.adidas.com . Fashion between the panels: PAID IN FULL.

Hello everyone out there, as always it’s good to see you. I AM JMADDD STYLES and I would like to welcome you to my latest blog post. Fashion between the panels: PAID IN FULL. For this latest installment of Fashion between the panels, I’m breaking down the fashion and pulling out new inspired looks, from between the panels of this classic tale of the streets. At this time period, the style , the fashion, was full of swagger and what would be the beginning of high end style mixed with street style , or street fashion. For this particular blog post , it took a little more work and imagination to complete the newly inspired looks from this movie , because a lot of the picture frames , didn’t give you a full look at the fashion. But with a little fashionable inspiration and imagination, I pulled together the looks that you are about see. You will also notice the timelessness of these looks from this fashionable era gone by , as a lot of the styles are back in one form or another. From the early looks of Dapper Dan , all the way to the looks of Dapper Dan right now. From the high end looks of Italian streetwear like Sergio Tacchini and Fila of yesterday, all the way to the return of these brands right now. But I could show you better than I can tell you. So without any further or do , here is my all new fashionable production, inspired by the fashion and swagger of PAID IN FULL.

All looks in this video have been styled and arranged by JMADDD STYLES.

As you have just seen the fashion in this movie , captured a whole entire lifestyle, a feel of both luxury and street. The look of unapologetically being flashy yet cool and subtle at the same time. But as always I LET YOU TELL IT.

Well there it is , we have just reached the end of yet another blog post. As always I hope you have enjoyed reading and viewing it , just as much as I enjoyed presenting it. The staying power of a streetwear brand: LRG : Lifted Research Group.

The staying power of a streetwear brand: LRG : Lifted Research Group.

Hello everyone out there, as always it’s good to see you. I AM JMADDD STYLES , and this is my latest blog post : The staying power of a streetwear brand: LRG ( Lifted Research Group ) . Today I am talking about something that is near and dear to me in the world of fashion , what is that you may ask ? STREETWEAR , why streetwear? Well it’s because that’s where I got my start in the industry, right about the time when streetwear was on the rise and everyone wanted a piece of it. When I came in Fubu was starting to blow up major , and many other brands with it such as Karl Kani and Maurice Malone. Las Vegas was the place to be to display your brand and the competition was thick. Everyone seemed to be throwing their hat into the streetwear fashion ring, including myself. But that’s another story for another blog post. When it comes to a streetwear brand, not many stand the test of time or have a very long run , for a number of reasons from funding to bad management to not having the right formula for longevity. So when a brand comes along that does stand the test of time, that brand has what I call staying power and LRG has demonstrated over the years that it had what it took to be one of those brands that could stand the test of fashionable time , due to it’s versatility and ability to change with the times and the trends without skipping a fashionable beat.

This is Jonas Bevacqua , the cofounder and original designer of the LRG brand , before passing away in 2011. I know each time that I had ever seen or ran into him at an event or fashion convention, he showed that he lived the brand, he was as much of brand within himself as the actual clothing, which is what helped sell the brand and caused everyone else to want to have a piece of the brand or the lifestyle synonymous with the brand. The fact that the brand still continues to work and sell after his death is proof that he did a good job of selling the LRG style and Lifestyle. The brand did something that most brands in the streetwear genre had not accomplished , that was bring together two different worlds. A combination of Skate Kid and streetwear style all under one stylish roof. However I can show you better than I can tell you. Let’s take a look at The Lifted Research Group. ( All looks in the film below are styled and arranged by JMADDD STYLES.)

Well there it is, we have just reached the end of yet another blog post, and I’m pretty sure after looking at the above presentation you can see how the brand has managed to stand the fashionable test of time and still be going strong with a loyal fan and customer base that has kept it going since it’s start in 1999 , and that’s a long time to last in the streetwear game. I AM JMADDD STYLES , and this has been The staying power of a streetwear brand: LRG : Lifted Research Group. That’s it for now, so until the next time…IM GONE…!!!.

Fashion between the panels: The Women of Marvel : Pt 3.

Fashion between the panels: The Women Of Marvel: Pt 3.

Hello everyone out there, as always it’s good to see you. I AM JMADDD STYLES and I would like to welcome you to my latest blog post. This is the third installment in an ongoing series. Fashion between the panels: The Women of Marvel: Pt 3. The fashionable inspirations for this blog post are Monica Rambeau ( Captain Marvel ) , Sue Storm ( The Invisible Woman ) and Mystique. I am going to take you on a fashionable journey between the panels , to come back out with new inspired looks , that have been inspired from each of these comic book heroines. So as always pull up a chair and stay awhile cause You are about to be styled by JMADDD. Now let’s get started right here with….

Monica Rambeau ( Captain Marvel)

To get this fashionable journey started , I’m going to get started with Monica Rambeau , or Captain Marvel. I did a previous blog post where I used Carol Danvers also Captain Marvel as the backdrop or inspiration for some newly inspired looks. For that version of Captain Marvel , I worked with the red and blue color ways to highlight the look that Carol Danvers has become famous for over the years. In that same blog post , I briefly touched on The Captain Marvel that is Monica Rambeau , the first black Captain Marvel . So I wanted to make sure to come back to this character , and expand a little more on drawing fashionable inspiration from her.

With each of these looks , I stuck with the classic ever popular black and white color scheme, that Monica Rambeau was best known for. Aside from this , black and white is always a good color combo to work with. But this is the original version of this comic book character , over the years, she has taken on a more modern look.

As you can see the color scheme is still the same , but now she adds in a trench coat and a slight change of shoe. So let’s see what kind of look I pulled from between the panels to capture the fashionable likeness of the new version of Monica Rambeau.

All looks are styled and arranged by JMADDD STYLES.

I still kept with the main staple of the look , being the black leather pants, then from there I added in a trench coat to the look and a black and white two toned body suit , and switched out the white boots and pumps for a black boot , creating a more active wear feel , capturing the fashionable likeness in a totally different way.

Drawing fashionable inspiration from Captain Marvel , I have just pulled three different looks from between the panels or in this case comic book panels. Now let’s move into the next fashionable likeness that I’m going to use for fashionable inspiration, and that is going to be ……

Sue Storm ( The Invisible Woman)

When it comes to styling looks that are fashionably inspired by a character like Sue Storm , the first thing you have to do is think along the lines of a monochromatic color scheme , and if that is the case , how to do this and still make the look pop is the real challenge. So how would that be done ? Let’s see.

As you can see the top look is the more monochromatic look , I went with a silk blouse or more less a silk dress shirt. The look is accented with a blue face watch , an ankle boot and a belt combination bag that is two toned royal blue and black to really set the look off. Monochromatic looks have really become popular over the last few years so this look keeps you on trend. The next look doesn’t give you the same monochromatic feel , it gives you different shades of blue that still blend together well to make a cohesive look, blending denim with a powder blue tailored dress pant. Finishing the look off with a suede ankle boot , a gold and blue bag , then accenting the look with a blue watch of a different shade trimmed in gold , bringing the entire look together. Then the final look is the same as the first , I just switched out the shoes to a royal blue pump giving the look a slightly different feel. These are the looks that are fashionably inspired from Sue Storm, The Invisible Woman. That brings us to our last subject for inspiration , in this third installment of The Women of Marvel series, Mystique.

Mystique.

If you really take a good look at this fan favorite super heroine, the comic version is in actuality already fashion forward. She wears a body con white dress , that takes on a leather appearance. Then she wears long elbow length white leather gloves and always has on white leather boots. She has been fashion forward for many years. But how can this look be translated to look fashionable outside of the comic panels ? Well let’s see.

To translate this look , I gave you three different looks that all use white leather . The first two looks are white leather dresses with a blue motorcycle jacket to put you in the mindset of the Mystique color scheme. Both looks are finished off with a white ankle boot that both remind you of the boots that she is so famously known for. Then the third look I gave you the white leather pants option , with a white or cream graphic t-shirt , giving you even more of a fashion forward rocker sheik look , that perfectly captures the fashionable likeness of Mystique. Then each look also includes jewelry accessories to make the looks pop just a little more.

Well there it is , once again we have come to the end of yet another blog post, I hope you have enjoyed reading it , just as much as I enjoyed presenting it. Fashionably hot in 2020 : Charaf Tajer : CASABLANCA.

Fashionably hot in 2020 : Charaf Tajer : CASABLANCA.

Hello everyone out there, as always it’s good to see you . I AM JMADDD STYLES and this is Fashionably hot in 2020 : Charaf Tajer : CASABLANCA . Charaf Tajer started his Paris based label CASABLANCA a little over two years ago in 2018 , and I got to admit I’m a little late to the party in knowing about the street luxury label. I came across it as I was reviewing fashion week video footage of Paris Fashion week. His show really stood out to me because I haven’t seen looks like these since Versace or Roberto Cavalli in the late 80’s and throughout the 90’s . His usage of color mixed with bold patterns flashes you right back to that time period. The look is bold and most of all flashy , two esthetics in clothing that I happen to be a fan of when it’s done correctly, and that is not easy to do , because there is always the risk of looking borderline tacky and cheap. But much like his predecessors , Charaf Tajer has found a way to perfect accomplishing this style or look in his clothing that is neither tacky or cheap, it’s just plain good fashion. For this blog post we are going to take a look at his SS20 Spring/Summer collection first from a runway perspective then I’m going to style standout pieces from the collection and give it that JMADDD STYLES touch , as I often do ,just so you can see how to put this collection together for your everyday or not so everyday use. So let’s get started…

As you can see the materials are of the best quality and the bold colors and patterns are mixed together perfectly. Now admittedly enough this is not a clothing line made for everyone, you have to know how to wear looks like this and you can’t be afraid to stand out . When it comes to clothing like this , it’s as I always say , you can be in the room or you can be the room. Trust me when I say this , being the room and not just being in it , is a lot more fun. Now with that said , let’s take an even closer look at this new bold collection.

These first few looks give you more of a athleisure style , which demonstrates the versatility of the line , but if you take an even closer look at the first three styles, you will notice the New Balance sneakers that finish the looks off. Those are NB 327’s . The new sneaker collaboration with CASABLANCA & New Balance , basically CASABLANCA X New Balance.

When you look at the last six looks , you can see the influence of Versace and Roberto Cavalli , especially when you look at the boldly printed silk shirts and the jeans as well with the flashy graphics and artistic scenery in each pair of the jeans. The real question as always are you hear for it ? I’m sure you know my answer , but incase you don’t, I’m personally hear for it , but as for you out there. I LET YOU TELL IT. You can shop these looks at www.casablancaparis.com and www.farfetch.com .

Well there it is , we have just come to the end of yet another blog post. I hope as always that you have enjoyed reading it , just as much as I enjoyed presenting it.
