NEW & FASHIONABLY NOTEWORTHY COLLABORATIONS: MCM x BAPE & FENTY x PUMA.

Hello everyone out there as always , it’s good to see you , I’m back with another one. Welcome to the first vlog/blog of 2024 and today we are going to pick back up talking about those fashionable collabs. In 2023 I spoke on some pretty interesting ones from TIFFANY & CO. x NIKE all the way up to ADIDAS x MONCLER. The fashionable collabo has played a really big part in fashion over the past few years and 2024 will be no different , as I’m sure that in addition to what I am going to speak on today , I’m pretty sure that there will be plenty more to come after all 2024 is just getting started. However today There is two good ones that I’m going to take a look at and show you how to style , two brands that are both no stranger to the fashionable collabo. First up MCM x BAPE then RIHANNA’S FENTY brand is back with another collaboration with PUMA or FENTY x PUMA. Both of these collaborative efforts right now are limited edition capsule collections, MCM x BAPE consists of two hoodies in different color ways and a small collection of bags then FENTY x PUMA is back with a line of sneakers , The PUMA CREEPER PHATTY done in three different color ways. Of course as I’m sure you may well know the MCM x BAPE collection is more on the expensive side with prices ranging from 590.00$ up to 1,290.00$ , as opposed to FENTY x PUMA with the collection of sneakers coming at a price point of 140.00$. With that said let’s have a look.

FASHION BETWEEN THE PANELS:THE WOMEN OF DC COMICS:PT.1

Hello everyone out there , as always it’s good to see you , I’m back with another one. Today we are going to have a little bit of fun with fashion , and start an all new chapter of one of my already existing series of vlog/blogs. If you are familiar with this vlog/blog site , then you know I’m just as much of a comic head as I am a fashion head. You also probably know that I tend to combine the two for an interesting twist on fashion that you do not to often see. So today we are going to start an all new FASHION BETWEEN THE PANELS and just to give you a little bit of context , fashion between the panels is when I go between the panels so to speak of your favorite movie classics or music videos or comic books and break down the fashion to come up with newly inspired looks based on the characters in the movie or music video or comic book. If you take a look through this website or my YouTube channel then you will see various examples of fashion between the panels. For this all new vlog/blog I am beginning part one of FASHION BETWEEN THE PANELS: THE WOMEN OF DC COMICS , previously I have done FASHION BETWEEN THE PANELS: THE WOMEN OF MARVEL , up to part 7 so far, which I will revisit that again a little later. But today an all new chapter begins with DC Comics once again going between the panels and this time as always I have come up with some really good inspired looks and I’m just getting started with this all new series that’s going to go as far as the Marvel series has gone. With that said , let’s get to it , now it’s time to go between the panels of DC Comics and see what I came up with. To kick things off I’m starting with ROCKET , VIXEN , and BATGIRL.

THE STAYING POWER OF A STREETWEAR BRAND: PAPER PLANES.

Hello everyone out there , as always it’s good to see you…I’m back with another one. Today I am back in my streetwear bag , if you are the least bit familiar with this vlog/blog or my YouTube channel , then you know that streetwear holds a special place in my fashionable rolodex. If you are not to familiar then you may be asking , why is that ? Well streetwear is where I got my intro into the world of fashion , from watching brands like KARL KANI or FUBU and how they got their start all the way up to being inspired to start my own brand many years ago as I saw those guys growing and taking over in the streetwear space or genre. The MAGIC Market Place was an amazing thing to see at that time as all those brands would converge on Vegas and so to speak compete side by side with one another for various buyers business. Being that I saw all of this happening and through my hat into the streetwear ring as well , I can appreciate how difficult it is and can be to maintain a streetwear brand. So it is always interesting to see how those various brands and even brands of today that have been built off the backs of those original streetwear brands have and do to maintain longevity past being just a flash in the fashionable pan and there is no other genre of fashion that is harder to keep alive and relevant than a streetwear brand. But there are those that have managed to do this be it past or present , and the brand that we are taking a look at today is The PAPER PLANES brand. This is not the first time that I have spoke on this fairly new brand that falls under The Roc Nation umbrella owned and co-owned by JAY-Z and Emory jones , and that is why it fits perfectly into my STAYING POWER OF A STREETWEAR BRAND segment. This brand was introduced somewhere around 2018 or so and continues to grow and progress to the point of going from mostly on line sales to now it’s first brick and mortar location in lower Manhattan , basically proving that slow and steady growth is better in most cases than over saturation that can cause any brand to fade faster than it should. In short, PAPER PLANES falls under the IF YOU KNOW YOU KNOW category , and I have to say that I’m a major fan of this new age streetwear brand. So with that said lets have a look at what you can expect from PAPER PLANES for this current fall/winter season.

If you are the least bit familiar with this vlog/blog then you know, there is nothing that I like better than a good fashionable collabo. It just so happens that this fall fashion season , ADIDAS ,is coming with some of the best fashionable collabo’s to hit the market. Now I’m not gone hold you too long with this one today , so that means we gone get in and get out , but by the time that you leave today , you will have see one of the coolest collaborations to come this season as of yet. I mean this season , ADIDAS is just firing on all cylinders , and this latest collabo/collection that I’m speaking on today , is going to allow us to have just a little bit of fun with fashion. The question is what new collabo/collection am I speaking of ? None other than the all new ADIDAS x THE SIMPSONS Collection , that just recently hit shelves. Have you had the chance to get a look at it yet? Well if you haven’t you are in the right place at the right time , this is an all new limited edition collection that is inspired by you guessed it THE SIMPSONS. So what I did was pick out what I feel like are the more standout pieces from this fun collection and show you how to style them in a variety of ways. With that said , let’s get to it….

THE JMADDD STYLES FALL FASHION SPECTACULAR: PT.5: BUSINESS CASUAL STYLE: MENSWEAR

Hello everyone out there as always it’s good to see you , I’m back with another one. For the 5th installment of my fall fashion series , I’m talking business casual style and how to capture it. By the way for those that are not to familiar with myself or this vlog/blog, I AM JMADDD STYLES and you are about to be styled by me. Now getting back to the subject at hand , when it comes to a subject like business casual style or dressy casual style it often is a mystery to most as to what it is or how to dress in such manner. In actuality the two are very closely related , but let’s not get too far into the dressy casual subject matter and just stick with the look of business casual style. Basically to give it a simple breakdown business casual style is the perfect blend of dressy and casual at the same time to create a look that can basically go anywhere be it day or night. Now important to note , depending on the field that you are in business casual style can change but for today we are just going to stick with a standard of business casual style. To show you how to capture this look today I decided to use three different designer brands and create two looks from each , starting with Brioni , then taking you to Paul Stuart , then ending out with Tom Ford. Important to note , you don’t have to utilize high end brands to capture business casual style , you can use any price point to capture the look depending on what it is that you wish to spend. But always keep in mind , you get what you pay for when it comes to quality and the longevity of your clothing. So what does business casual style look like you may still be asking , well I can show you better than I can tell you…
