50 YRS of HIP-HOP FASHION: Pt 1: WALKER WEAR: BY APRIL WALKER.

Hello everyone out there as always it’s good to see you , I’m back with another one. This year the art form , the lifestyle , the music , known as Hip-Hop has been around for well over fifty years. That’s a milestone within itself , because fifty years ago who would have known that Hip-hop would take it this far? However for those of us who have been around since the beginning of this thing we call Hip-Hop , we are glad to see it has come as far as it has , and we were here to see it happen. But the music didn’t just come by itself , it came with an attitude , a swagger , or once again a lifestyle , the key word being style. Hip-Hop brought it’s own style and fashion with it, hence from Hip-Hop brands emerged known as streetwear and in the 90’s there was an explosion so to speak of designers and brands that were the pioneers in the art of streetwear , some of which are still around to this day and being reintroduced to a brand new audience of fashion and streetwear enthusiast alike. One of those brands being the one that is the topic of today’s vlog/blog , the brand that I am speaking of is WALKER WEAR by : April Walker.

Meet APRIL WALKER , she is the designer and owner behind this classic 90’s brand , that has stood the test of time and has been reintroduced once again to a new generation. At one point there was not a music video or even Hip-Hop based movie where you would not have seen a piece of WALKER WEAR spotted somewhere on camera , being worn by some Hip-Hop great.

Taking it back to present day , the brand is still in existence and she has not tried to really reinvent the brand just modernize it a little , all the while keeping the true esthetic of the brand alive, as well as the art of true streetwear that has seemed to have changed some over the years, but that’s another story for another time.

Still Getting Beachy: Beachwear Style From LISA MARIE FERNANDEZ.

Hello everyone out there as always it’s good to see you , I’m back with another one. Today I revisit the style that is LISA MARIE FERNANDEZ , by the way for those that are not to familiar with myself or this blog/vlog , I AM JMADDD STYLES and you are about to be styled by me. L.M.F is what I call a true pioneer of design when it comes the swimwear and swimwear related fashion category. Why you may ask? Well she was amongst the first that I took notice of that was able to make swimwear that could easily pass as regular clothing. Which inspired me to come up with what I call rooftop pool party fashion , where you inculcate swimwear with regular clothing creating a fashion forward look that could very well be worn on the street. But as if the swimwear wasn’t stylish enough , she now has a cohesive collection of what I call swimwear related fashion that fits right in with the swimwear like a natural extension of the swimsuit collection. All clothing that truly looks like beach or island resort fashion that take you from the beach or pool scene straight to a night out at the resort. Hello everyone out there, as always it’s good to see you. I AM JMADDD STYLES, and I’m back with another one , you have logged on just in time for my latest blog post. Welcome to The Fashion Follow Up: Still Rockin Those Birkenstock’s, this is the follow up to my previous blog post How to Rock your BIRKENSTOCK’s , from a little over a year ago. If you have not had the opportunity to take a look at that, then by all means scroll down a little and give it a look and a read. But for now I’m back with the second installment and I’m once again showing you further How to Rock Your Birkenstock’s. What really sparked my interest in this latest blog/vlog was , a couple of weeks ago on YouTube I came across a video that basically said Birkenstock’s , or sandals were not a good look for men or women in particular Birkenstock’s , well from my vantage point that couldn’t be the furthest thing from the fashionable truth, you just have to know how to wear and style them or better yet how to rock them. However as always I can show you better than I can tell you, so here is my latest fashionable production.

As I have demonstrated in well over sixteen different ways , sandals in particular BIRKENSTOCK’s are most definitely not a fashion don’t, but are in fact a fashion must do. Sandals are an excellent alternative to wearing the same shoes or sneakers, it takes a measure of fashionable confidence to know just how to style and unapologetically rock them. Still not sure how ? The focus is on menswear, and helping you as always to enhance your wardrobe as well as personal style. For this blog post it is also important to keep in mind that this movie is a period piece , set in the late 60’s and throughout the 70’s.
