Hello everyone out there , as always it’s god to see you , I’m back with another one. As I continue on with the third installment of my Sp/Su series , it’s been a little while since I last spoke on the brand PAUL STUART , but the question is can I really speak of helping you to dress up your Sp/Su style without mentioning a brand such as the likes of PAUL STUART ? In short the answer would be no , When it comes to dressing your style up , there are but a few brands that come to mind that could help you to accomplish that in the right way , with the right look and the right amount of visible quality that can be easily seen the moment you put their clothes on. in addition to that these brands will not completely break the bank, they do not come in at a completely cheap price point but are still reasonably affordable , if you do not mind paying for quality to get the right look and fit. Those brands being RALPH LAUREN , SUITSUPPLY , and PAUL STUART. Just like I was saying before , it’s been a little while since I last spoke on this brand , so I’m glad you have decided to join me as I speak on and show you just how this brand is one of my personal favorites to help you accomplish the goal of improving and dressing up your style. The PAUL STUART brand is one of those brands that is always consistent auto how it looks , they never make the mistake of trying to reinvent the fashionable wheel , instead they stick to their true esthetic , causing them to maintain their core audience all the while gaining new fans of the brand along the way.

50 YRS of HIP-HOP FASHION & STYLE: Pt.:2:KARL KANI.

Hello everyone out there , as always it’s good to see you, I’m back with another one. As I was saying in part one of this series, Hip-Hop has reached a major milestone this year , reaching its 50th anniversary. But it’s not only the art form of Hip-Hop that has reached its 50th anniversary but all the fashion and lifestyle that came along with it. The style and attitude that is Hip-Hop has also reached the same milestone. With that said, at the beginning of what is called the Golden Era of Hip-Hop from the late 80’s going into the early 90’s we saw the emergence of a different kind of designer , a designer that came with the power of relatability that made the brand they were designing relatable as well. In this case I’m talking KARL KANI , From the very moment that you first saw KARL KANI , You instantly thought or at least I know that I thought , that could very well be me or it could very well be you. He made fashion become something that you actually do or be apart of it no longer seemed untouchable or unattainable, in turn breeding a whole new crop of designers that gave you a whole new form of fashion that came to be known as streetwear.

I remember the first time I ever saw this vest that kind of started it all, for the KARL KANI brand in my fashionable opinion being worn on YO’ MTV RAPS , I didn’t know what it was or who made it , but I knew it was something that I wanted to have , not even being sure of what the KANI signature on the side even meant. Or even these adds that ran in magazines like VIBE , RIGHT ON , or THE SOURCE ,

not to tell you my age or anything. But if you fast forward from then up to now , the brand is still here , making it’s mark and maintaining it’s spot in streetwear , keeping its true esthetic only difference it’s graduated to a more high end look with richer looking materials elevating the brand and the look of the brand to a more street luxury look as opposed to being stuck in the look of what would be streetwear.

So in a nutshell the KARL KANI brand after all these years is still out there making noise having its presence felt, solidifying its position in fashion and streetwear. 50 YRS of HIP-HOP FASHION: Pt 1: WALKER WEAR: BY APRIL WALKER.

Hello everyone out there as always it’s good to see you , I’m back with another one. This year the art form , the lifestyle , the music , known as Hip-Hop has been around for well over fifty years. That’s a milestone within itself , because fifty years ago who would have known that Hip-hop would take it this far? However for those of us who have been around since the beginning of this thing we call Hip-Hop , we are glad to see it has come as far as it has , and we were here to see it happen. But the music didn’t just come by itself , it came with an attitude , a swagger , or once again a lifestyle , the key word being style. Hip-Hop brought it’s own style and fashion with it, hence from Hip-Hop brands emerged known as streetwear and in the 90’s there was an explosion so to speak of designers and brands that were the pioneers in the art of streetwear , some of which are still around to this day and being reintroduced to a brand new audience of fashion and streetwear enthusiast alike. One of those brands being the one that is the topic of today’s vlog/blog , the brand that I am speaking of is WALKER WEAR by : April Walker.

Meet APRIL WALKER , she is the designer and owner behind this classic 90’s brand , that has stood the test of time and has been reintroduced once again to a new generation. At one point there was not a music video or even Hip-Hop based movie where you would not have seen a piece of WALKER WEAR spotted somewhere on camera , being worn by some Hip-Hop great.

Taking it back to present day , the brand is still in existence and she has not tried to really reinvent the brand just modernize it a little , all the while keeping the true esthetic of the brand alive, as well as the art of true streetwear that has seemed to have changed some over the years, but that’s another story for another time.

The Fashion Hype.

The Fashion Hype.

Hello everyone out there , as always it’s good to see you , I’m back with another one. Welcome to a new segment that I am going to be doing on this vlog/blog site called The Fashion Hype. What the fashion hype will be about is those items that you come across on the internet or possibly even on the runway that basically get overhyped way more than they should be , the item will usually be something that most people would look at and say , there is no way that I am wearing that or would even bother to pay for it , but some how some way it’s selling out everywhere and being seen all over the place and on everyone. When I say everyone I mean celebs and influencers alike adding to what’s that..??..You guessed it…The Fashion Hype. For today the subject is an article of clothing that unless you just don’t look at the internet at all or don’t look at social media , it couldn’t be missed. The reason it couldn’t be missed ? Well for one it’s completely outrageous even more than the YEEZY Foam Runner Boot , second when you see it , the first thing that comes to mind is something of the cartoon persuasion. Astro Boy , or Mario Brothers , perhaps even The Amazing Spider-Man , by now I’m almost certain that you realize I am talking about The Big Red Boot that seemingly has taken the internet by storm.

So much so that this overly cartoonish boot, which retails for 350.00$ by the way, is completely sold out and on back order on the MSCHF website , not to mention the outrageous price these boots are going for on after market reseller websites like StockX. So what’s the appeal of these boots? Why the huge demand for something that you will probably absolutely hate by next season or heck maybe even next month? Well that remains to be seen , the only thing I can come up with is , everyone always wants to be the first to be different in this influencer age then there is the amount of celebs being photographed ninth boots , who more than likely did not pay for these boots , but were probably gifted these boots , which adds to the general public wanting to pay for and cause these wacky boots to go on back order. Hence the title The Fashion Hype.

Even though I think these boots are outrageous and would never actually purchase them for my own personal wardrobe , I still like to put on my Fashion Stylist hat and give you some possible ways to style them.

Hello everyone out there, as always it’s good to see you , I’m back with another one. It’s about that time of year again , or as I like to call it The Fashionable Time Of Year , When all the Fashion Weeks start happening everywhere from Paris to New York and beyond. However for today’s vlog/blog I’m talking NYFW 2023 Highlights, It’s good to see NY back up and running again on the fashion week front. Not exactly the same as it was before , but lets give a little more time and see where it goes , One of the biggest differences about NYFW is that it’s now open more to the public , and instead of a lot of shows being invite only , there is now a price tag attached to where you can buy tickets to the runway shows or in some cases even if you are invited , you maybe invited on a first come first serve or buy advanced ticket basis. which has basically changed the trajectory of the shows from being about those in the industry from Buyers , Fashion Stylist , Bloggers , Models , Magazine Editors and so on to those who just want to be seen for IG or any other social media purpose. But even with that big of a change happening it’s still good to be back in the city moving about , creating both good experiences and content all at the same time. One of the biggest highlights that was had by me for Fashion Week this time wasn’t exactly anything to do with fashion, this highlight fell more under the category of creating an experience. What experience you maybe asking ? Well I was able make a stop in the Bronx for a visit to The HIP HOP Museum, and I have to say it was an incredible experience to be apart of , I mean after all fashion and Hip Hop go hand and with each other when it comes to the influential side of things. If you are a fan of Hip Hop then this place is a must see and an experience that you need to be a part of and have , because it flashes you back to a time period gone by. So all in all I’m back at it again moving about through NY for Fashion Week, after almost about a two year hiatus for obvious reasons , and I got to say once again…IT’S GOOD TO BE BACK.
