THE STAYING POWER OF A STREETWEAR BRAND: PAPER PLANES.

Hello everyone out there , as always it’s good to see you…I’m back with another one. Today I am back in my streetwear bag , if you are the least bit familiar with this vlog/blog or my YouTube channel , then you know that streetwear holds a special place in my fashionable rolodex. If you are not to familiar then you may be asking , why is that ? Well streetwear is where I got my intro into the world of fashion , from watching brands like KARL KANI or FUBU and how they got their start all the way up to being inspired to start my own brand many years ago as I saw those guys growing and taking over in the streetwear space or genre. The MAGIC Market Place was an amazing thing to see at that time as all those brands would converge on Vegas and so to speak compete side by side with one another for various buyers business. Being that I saw all of this happening and through my hat into the streetwear ring as well , I can appreciate how difficult it is and can be to maintain a streetwear brand. So it is always interesting to see how those various brands and even brands of today that have been built off the backs of those original streetwear brands have and do to maintain longevity past being just a flash in the fashionable pan and there is no other genre of fashion that is harder to keep alive and relevant than a streetwear brand. But there are those that have managed to do this be it past or present , and the brand that we are taking a look at today is The PAPER PLANES brand. This is not the first time that I have spoke on this fairly new brand that falls under The Roc Nation umbrella owned and co-owned by JAY-Z and Emory jones , and that is why it fits perfectly into my STAYING POWER OF A STREETWEAR BRAND segment. This brand was introduced somewhere around 2018 or so and continues to grow and progress to the point of going from mostly on line sales to now it’s first brick and mortar location in lower Manhattan , basically proving that slow and steady growth is better in most cases than over saturation that can cause any brand to fade faster than it should. In short, PAPER PLANES falls under the IF YOU KNOW YOU KNOW category , and I have to say that I’m a major fan of this new age streetwear brand. So with that said lets have a look at what you can expect from PAPER PLANES for this current fall/winter season.

Welcome to my latest blog post, today we revisit the brand simply known as PAPER PLANES, which happens to be the brain child of JAY-Z and his right hand man Emory Jones. PAPER PLANES is one of those brands that completely flew under the radar, as you started seeing it in small doses on various personalities on tv or in photos. Even the though the logo is pretty simplistic , there was something about it that intrigued me enough to notice it and and want to know what it was and stood for. Despite the fact that the brand maintains being relatively low key and still on the underground side , it has achieved a measure if fashionable success. I mean how could it miss seeing who it was started by, just take the right placement at the right time. Well the brand is back for the fall season with a pretty noteworthy collection, consisting of track suits , joggers, various hoodies , and jackets, rounding out the collection T-shirts, and an assortment of hats and other accessories, not to mention that they also put out out a collection of cashmere sweat suits. Basically PAPER PLANES has the entire blue print for a successful street/lux brand. But I can show you even better than I can tell you, so it’s now time for a look at my latest fashionable production, be sure to stay until the end for some additional fashionable bonus content.
