Hello everyone, out there as always it’s good to see you, I’m back with another one.  It’s that time of year again, the first Monday in May has come and gone. That means another Met Gala has also come and gone, this year was a really big year because it was to be a tribute to black style and tailoring. I’t was to be a tribute to the DANDY or Black Dandyism. If you are not familiar with what a Danndy is, there are a lot of people that come to mind, but one that really comes to mind is someone that I came across on YouTube some years ago, by the name of DANDY WELLINGTON.

He is the true essence of what being a DANDY really is, so when I’t came to seeing the looks on the Blue Carpet, he’s the blueprint for what I was looking for. Now, from my perspective,  it really didn’t matter what designer you had on, only if you followed the assignment and pulled the look off correctly.  There were some that captured it, and some that basically gave you what they thought was an interpretation of it. And then there were some who just missed the mark all together,  so with that said , let’s get into it and see who truly, in my opinion, were the best dressed because they captured true DANDY style or they at least look like they tried, basically an honorable mention.

Hello everyone out there, as always it’s good to see you, I’m back with another one. Welcome to STYLE SESSIONS with myself JMADDD STYLES, today I’m back taking you on another personal fashion styling and shopping session with one return client and one new client. Our return client is W.C. Clark and this will be a continuation of the style journey that he has been on for the past few months to improve on his style and wardrobe.

The priority for Mr.Clark this time is to find him 2 new more updated overcoats that are good for both casual and dressy looks. I was also out to find him a new suit , but not just any suit, a wool and cashmere blend Glen Plaid double breasted suit. Both the suit and the coats could be located in SUITSUPPLY so thats where we are getting started. The problem is, both the overcoats and the suit that I was in search of were very popular items at SUITSUPPLY for the fall/winter 2024/2025 season and basically all the items were said to be sold out. Even the material to do a custom version of the suit was said to be gone for the season, so what was I going to do? The only thing a good personal fashion stylist and image consultant can do, either improvise or do a careful sweep of the store and make sure those items were completely gone. And after a very careful search in the store I found one of the overcoats, the chocolate brown full length wool coat and after looking carefully through the racks I found one Glen Plaid double breasted suit and they both happened to fit W.C. Clark almost perfectly.

But after looking through the store for the last item, an olive green cashmere car coat, that was a no go, so that really took some serious improvising. So what did I do? Stay tuned and you will see how I solved the problem of finding the third item, all I can say is you always a need a good back up plan when it comes to styling and image consulting.

Next that brings us up to our new client, and my new client didn’t need much by the way of styling. He was just looking for a fresh take on a new tuxedo and the same fresh take on some new suits with a few style suggestions, of how to wear them. So for ER.Player thats his name by the way, we start right here…

in the SUITSUPPLY formal wear shop. I ran into the same problem with the tuxedo, it was no longer available in my clients size.

Sorry for the bad IPAD picture, but I wanted you the audience to see the tux that I was in search of. The dilemma was not only was the size not available but ER.Player needed the tuxedo within the next week. So once again what did I do? You guessed it, I improvised with the next best option, which in my opinion was really the best option.

We decided to go with a double breasted, black suit, with a full lapel. Why is that the best option, you maybe asking? Because a tuxedo can only be worn on special occasions, even though it’s a good long term investment, you won’t get as much usage out of it as you would the suit, and the suit can be worn in a variety of ways. Giving you more bang for your buck or a more fashionably effective cost per ware scenario. So how did everything turn out? Lets see…(Press play on the video below).

Many often have trouble distinguishing just exactly what dressy casual means, the question often rises…what is meant by dressy casual style? Or what do I put on ? When the invite says to come dressy casual. Well today I’m not just telling you how to capture a dressy casual look , I’m actually going to show you how to put together dressy casual looks. But when it comes to being dressy casual, just keep in mind that it’s pretty much almost the same thing as business casual except dressy casual has more options and the look is a little less rigid with more room for style expression. Of course today both business casual and dressy casual can take on different meanings depending on where you work , or who sent the invite or the venue that you are going to be at. Welcome to my first vlog/blog of 2025, and to kick things off, I’m returning back to my New & Fashionably Noteworthy Collaborations series. And the all new collaboration that I’m speaking of actually dropped late in or towards the end of 2024 but carries over into 2025. The all new collaboration that I’m speaking of is BATMAN x KITH, KITH is often known to have some of the best fashionable collaborations next to SUPREME, at least in my fashionable opinion that’s the way I see it. Well this all new comic book fashion collection does not disappoint, KITH has found a way to incorporate just about all the BATMAN movies along with the comic book art and have them strategically placed into the fashion and and all of the novelty items. Such as the skate decks, key chains , chairs, posters, rugs, comic art prints and toys. It’s basically a well rounded capsule collection that is sure to make all the fashionable streetwear enthusiasts, happy as well as comic heads alike. That’s if you are fortunate enough to have been able to obtain even so much as of a small piece of this collection. Because surely as you are reading this, or by the time that you finally get around to reading this, the collection is pretty much sold out. From all the clothing down to the key chains, and I promise you the after market sales of this collection is going to be twice as expensive. But then that is the usual components of a limited release capsule collection that everyone wants a piece of. Hello everyone out there, as always it’s good to see you, I’m back with another one. It’s been a little while since I took you between the panels of a classic movie , tv series , or comic book, pulled out the fashion and created newly inspired looks that are based on key characters in the story. Well the wait is over and I’m back with another all new installment of Fashion Between The Panels. This time I’m taking you between the panels of a classic tv series from the late 80’s to the early 90’s. I’m talking about the one and only MIAMI VICE , a tv show that was responsible for creating one of the biggest fashionable movements of the time. So what we are going to do today in true Fashion Between The Panels fashion, is break down the looks of the main characters from the show and recreate the fashion or pull out the fashion to make it fit for todays style and standards. Basically giving those looks of yesterday a more modern twist for today. So with that said, let’s get to it and take a deep dive between the panels of MIAMI VICE.
