Hello everyone out there , as always it’s good to see you , I’m back with another one. For the seventh installment of my spring / summer series , I’m speaking on and showing you how to wear a brand from days gone by. It’s one of those brands that when it hit in the 90’s it was at the top of the sportswear / streetwear / active wear fashionable food chain. And it’s back now stronger than ever , and if you are familiar with this vlog / blog and the type of style that resonates with me , then you know I love to see the return of a brand from yesteryear that has the ability to still come off strong to a generation that is not familiar with it. The brand that I’m speaking of today , incase you have not figured it out yet , is SERGIO TACCHINI. When this brand hit in the early 90’s it was virtually unmatched when it came to style and quality and had a price tag to match , at least it seemed really expensive back then anyway. The only brand that could rival it back then was FILA, which has also made a fairly succesful return , both brands had the same aesthetic and I was a major fan of both. But you best believe on their return I was at the front of the retail line to get my hands on a piece of their clothing especially the velour sweatsuits. Basically though brands like this are what I consider to be generationally fashionable , meaning that the look of these brands means more to the generation that saw them when they first hit years ago as oppose the generation that knows very little about them and does not coordinate fashion the same way. I call the looks from the brands , The MONEY MAKIN MITCH LOOK. For those that are not familiar , that’s a reference to the movie PAID IN FULL , so if  YKYK. But if you don’t know , then go take a look at the movie and then get back to me , you will definitely know exactly what I’m talking about. The greatest thing about the return of these brands is they didn’t try to reinvent what made them ICONIC in the first place , they came back with the same style and look , maybe just a slightly more modern cut. Either way you look at it , I’m just glad to see the return of this brand. Now let me show you why you should be glad also.

DRESSING UP YOUR SP/SU STYLE 2024 : PART 2 : EASTSIDE GOLF: THE BRAND FOR THE STREETS AND THE GOLF COURSE.

Hello everyone out there , as always it’s good to see you , I’m back with another one. Welcome to the second installment of my spring/summer series, today I’m going to speak on a fairly new brand that really caught my when it appeared in my I.G. feed. What brand am I speaking of ? You maybe asking , that brand would be EASTSIDE GOLF. The reason that it caught my eye so much at first glance was that it reminded of a brand that came out some years ago in the 90’s that had the same feel by the name of PIVOT GOLF. But the brand didn’t stay around to very long , fast forward to right now, the same appeal that PIVOT had is the same appeal that EASTSIDE GOLF has right now. That appeal is a brand that is really intended to be on the golf course , but looks equally as good being worn as a brand on the streets. So it’s a brand that has a duel purpose and not only that , but it is a black owned brand that has an excellent niche market that is not a space that a lot of brands occupy. Then combine that with the fact that it is moderately priced so it won’t break the bank and high on style which is very important , when it comes to the longevity of a good brand. Just to give a quick aerial view of the price points of this line , this line ranges in price from 50.00$ to upwards of 230.00$ , so basically as I was saying before, you are getting high style for reasonable prices. With that said let’s have a look at EASTSIDE GOLF.

Today aside from my usual intro , I would like to start out letting you know that…I’M JUST HERE TO TAKE YOU ON A FASHIONABLE JOURNEY. So what do I mean by that? Well 2023 is coming to an end or by the time you read this , has already come to an end, and if you have been with me for the past few years then you know each year I basically take you on a fashionable journey throughout the year and 2023 has been no different. So as we come to the end of yet another year , we also come to the end of one more fashionable journey , that I would like to thank you all for taking with me. As of 2024 it is time start all over again from this point. This year I have taken you from NYFW through various other topics and demonstrations including various personal fashion styling sessions with clients so that you could get an up close view of what it is like to work with me personally on enhancing your own personal wardrobe and style. In 2024 you can look forward to seeing more of everything hopefully this time even better than the last , but before we can get started here is the 2023 STYLE RAP-UP.

THE STAYING POWER OF A STREETWEAR BRAND: PAPER PLANES.

Hello everyone out there , as always it’s good to see you…I’m back with another one. Today I am back in my streetwear bag , if you are the least bit familiar with this vlog/blog or my YouTube channel , then you know that streetwear holds a special place in my fashionable rolodex. If you are not to familiar then you may be asking , why is that ? Well streetwear is where I got my intro into the world of fashion , from watching brands like KARL KANI or FUBU and how they got their start all the way up to being inspired to start my own brand many years ago as I saw those guys growing and taking over in the streetwear space or genre. The MAGIC Market Place was an amazing thing to see at that time as all those brands would converge on Vegas and so to speak compete side by side with one another for various buyers business. Being that I saw all of this happening and through my hat into the streetwear ring as well , I can appreciate how difficult it is and can be to maintain a streetwear brand. So it is always interesting to see how those various brands and even brands of today that have been built off the backs of those original streetwear brands have and do to maintain longevity past being just a flash in the fashionable pan and there is no other genre of fashion that is harder to keep alive and relevant than a streetwear brand. But there are those that have managed to do this be it past or present , and the brand that we are taking a look at today is The PAPER PLANES brand. This is not the first time that I have spoke on this fairly new brand that falls under The Roc Nation umbrella owned and co-owned by JAY-Z and Emory jones , and that is why it fits perfectly into my STAYING POWER OF A STREETWEAR BRAND segment. This brand was introduced somewhere around 2018 or so and continues to grow and progress to the point of going from mostly on line sales to now it’s first brick and mortar location in lower Manhattan , basically proving that slow and steady growth is better in most cases than over saturation that can cause any brand to fade faster than it should. In short, PAPER PLANES falls under the IF YOU KNOW YOU KNOW category , and I have to say that I’m a major fan of this new age streetwear brand. So with that said lets have a look at what you can expect from PAPER PLANES for this current fall/winter season.

If you are the least bit familiar with this vlog/blog then you know, there is nothing that I like better than a good fashionable collabo. It just so happens that this fall fashion season , ADIDAS ,is coming with some of the best fashionable collabo’s to hit the market. Now I’m not gone hold you too long with this one today , so that means we gone get in and get out , but by the time that you leave today , you will have see one of the coolest collaborations to come this season as of yet. I mean this season , ADIDAS is just firing on all cylinders , and this latest collabo/collection that I’m speaking on today , is going to allow us to have just a little bit of fun with fashion.
