Fashion That Flew Below my Fashionable Radar: DAPPER DAN.

Hello everyone out there , as always it’s good to see you…I’m back with another one. Every now and again something new hits the market that completely escapes your attention , hence the title , Fashion That Flew below my Fashionable Radar. For today’s vlog/blog the new line or collection that completely slipped below my radar comes from streetwear legend DAPPER DAN. Now if you are a fashion or streetwear enthusiast and you don’t know who DAPPER DAN is then you need to get familiar , basically do your googles then come back and finish reading and viewing this vlog/blog. Now when it comes to DAPPER DAN over the last few years he has been apart of some of the biggest fashionable collaborations to hit the market , getting started with what was basically his comeback to mainstream fashion his collabo with GUCCI, once again if you don’t know anything about this , then you should. Then there was a few more smaller collabos like the one with Pepsi , but then shortly afterward came the DAP for GAP collaboration. But the question is , what has he been up to lately ? Well I got to admit that I didn’t see this coming and that was or is DAPPER DAN x PUMA which hit the market on Jan 14 , 2023.

This collection has the look of streetwear in it’s purest form , it is unapologetically DAPPER DAN , what I mean by that is , the look of the collection is bold and logo heavy , if you have caught a glimpse of it , you couldn’t miss it if you tried. But that’s what makes it great and that is also what makes it DAPPER DAN , now let’s have a closer look…

The Revival of a Street Luxury Brand: Sean John.

Hello everyone out there, as always it’s good to see you. I’m back with another one , and this time im speaking on a brand that made a major impact on the fashion world from the time it was introduced. Welcome to The Revival of a Street Luxury Brand: Sean John. From day one when I first saw Sean John introduced in Vegas at The Magic Show Fashion Convention, I was a major fan. But what made this brand such a success was the image of the lifestyle being sold with it, and no one was better at selling you a luxury lifestyle ,a complete image than it’s owner Sean Puffy Combs. From music to music videos all the way up to fashion , he knew how to sell you a complete lifestyle and image. The same way he sold you the image of his artist on Bad Boy Record’s , is basically the same formula he would later use to sell you the idea of a street luxury brand , and it worked. It worked so well that the brand amassed millions in a short period of time and gained the attention of the CFDA, naming Sean Puffy Combs menswear designer of the year in 2004. From there the brand began to branch out into womenswear , hit the runways of New York Fashion Week and the brand was licensed to make a fragrance , eyewear , shoes and jumped into the men’s suiting and dress clothing lane successfully. But like any brand that comes out swinging, there comes a level off period , where the brand looses popularity. In this case when Sean Combs sold off a majority stake in the company to Global Brands Group. The problem with making a move like that , the company that takes over dose not have the same vision or passion for the brand, so the brand begins to loose it’s way. But that’s about to turn itself around, or so it possibly seems.

With Combs buying the company back out of bankruptcy for 7.5 million$ , the question is does Sean Puffy Combs still have what it takes to revive and breath new life into this once power house street luxury brand ? Well that’s what we will have to watch out for and see. Hopefully you watched the video all the way through for the extra added bonus content.

Hello everyone out there, as always it’s good to see you. I’m back with another one, by the way I AM JMADDD STYLES, and you are about to be styled by me. Welcome to my latest vlog/blog post Styling Japanese Fashion Brands: Pt6: BEAMS. Today I’m picking back up ,where I left off a few months ago speaking on and showing you how to style various Japanese fashion brands and bring awareness to these brands that a lot are not familiar with unless you are a true fashion brand enthusiast , that is well versed in various brands from all over. Today im talking BEAMS , this Japanese fashion brand is probably one of the most cohesive that I have seen in a very long time . It’s almost as though each designed piece was produced with the last piece in mind before it. This brand has all the needed essentials that make for a complete clothing line, nothing to outlandish or non relatable but everything that can be used to build an essential wardrobe that almost everyone can wear. By my observation this line gives you the best quality of goods when it comes to materials, for the given price point which falls under the bracket of moderate , so you won’t have to break the bank to own a piece of this international brand. Basically out of all the Japanese Fashion brands that I have covered this one is by far my personal favorite next to NEEDLES. But as always , I can show you better than I can tell you.

The JMADDD STYLES Fall Fashion Spectacular: Pt 4: PAPER PLANES.

Hello everyone out there , as always it’s good to see you. I AM JMADDD STYLES and you are about to be styled by me. Welcome to my latest blog post, today we revisit the brand simply known as PAPER PLANES, which happens to be the brain child of JAY-Z and his right hand man Emory Jones. PAPER PLANES is one of those brands that completely flew under the radar, as you started seeing it in small doses on various personalities on tv or in photos. Even the though the logo is pretty simplistic , there was something about it that intrigued me enough to notice it and and want to know what it was and stood for. Despite the fact that the brand maintains being relatively low key and still on the underground side , it has achieved a measure if fashionable success. I mean how could it miss seeing who it was started by, just take the right placement at the right time. Well the brand is back for the fall season with a pretty noteworthy collection, consisting of track suits , joggers, various hoodies , and jackets, rounding out the collection T-shirts, and an assortment of hats and other accessories, not to mention that they also put out out a collection of cashmere sweat suits. Basically PAPER PLANES has the entire blue print for a successful street/lux brand. But I can show you even better than I can tell you, so it’s now time for a look at my latest fashionable production, be sure to stay until the end for some additional fashionable bonus content.
